Annie's Journey....

My journey is filled with many of "life's inconveniences" ~ health challenges that are out of my control, eating challenges that I CAN control and exercise challenges that I'm learning to adapt.

These inconveniences add challenges to my day.

Life is not perfect, but if we start the day with a positive attitude and throw in a huge helping of quick wit, the day is bound to improve!

Truth be told ~ my obseity is the symptom, emotional over-eating is my disease and weight-loss is my reward.

Let's gather together with a bit of "spark" and soon we will have a bonfire started. Whether you are leading, walking alongside or gently encouraging from behind....let's make the best effort on this journey, called LIFE.

Take a chance......to make a change........towards better choices.

Update: July 9, 2013
Last November I damaged my Brachial Plexus - Neurosurgeon told me to learn to walk or pick an alternative. From Nov 8th until Jan 23, I received Occupational and Physical therapy to regain strength and get me upright ~ it never happened.

February found out my Osteo-arthritis in my knees were bone-on-bone. In March, the Orthopaedic Specialist told me I would be wheel chair bound - no bi-lateral knee replacements due to Chronic DVT's and the severity of my Lymphedema. Even IF I were a skinny chick, he recommended this surgery NEVER be performed. The risk of infection would be to high.

When I thought life couldn't get any worse....it did! Wayne died in his sleep on April 11th...most days I just want to curl up and die (interesting past time).

emoticon I am glad you enjoyed sharing my latest hike, even the steep climb! I really want to go back there to take more pictures of the little town and all the pretty bridges, etc.
18 calves?! Wow, they will be busy on the farm indeed! I find calves very funny looking. They are like a smaller, thinner version of their parents, not at all plump like baby animals often are.

How are you this morning? I'm praying for you! I hope you have a peaceful, productive and happy day today.

I'm still working outside, but it's supposed to rain tomorrow and Wed so I'll get some piecing in on those days, yeah!!!

Thank you so much for looking for the solution for the 'mushrooms'! CRYSTALE8 found the answer: they are field/common horsetail (equisetum arvense)!!! I knew how these look much later in the season, I didn't know they looked like funny little mushrooms in the Spring!
I hope the temperature in the building will get much warmer this week... emoticon

Hi! I'm happy to find another quilter on Spark! I was piecing yesterday, but am out in the garden today. I'd much rather be piecing!

I am glad your reporting problems made your life a bit better... but it is so sad to have to do that to get the care that should be obvious!!! It makes me sad.
