8-28-11 I have lost 168 lbs and I feel amazing. I have uploaded some pics but I will keep working on trying to find out how to get more on. I am a VERY active person now and keep my family hoping. I now wear a size 7/8 in most things and started out at a 22/24. Gotta Love it!!!


5-7-11 I am at a GREAT place in my life!!! My eating and weight are under control, and exercise is fun instead of a drudge. I have lost 153 lbs and feel great. I have tried on several occations to upload new photos but they don't go through. I will continue to try. Thank you to all my Spark friends and supporters for all the encouragement.

10-26-10 Well I have done it!!! I have more than reached the goal I set for myself to lose by Dec. 2010.
I have lost a total of 140 Lbs since I began this journey. Now I am desperately in need of 10-12 EVERYTHING. To think that I started out a 20-22 and some 24's is amazing to me. I certainly didn't do it over night and I didn't do it without some slip ups, but praise God I have and am still doing it. As soon as I get a chance and figure out how to upload a photo I will, You won't believe the difference.

9-26-10 Well I am no longer considered obese but am still over weight. I am definately much healthier and much happier than I have been in Years. I am much more active and positive about everything when it comes to life. I have 10 lbs to go until I reach that first goal I set to be reached by Dec. I believe I will make it.
I will keep my first intro text to remind me where I started and how far I have come. Kudos to me!

First intro:
I am a Big Beautiful (inside and out) Woman! Just trying to be not quite so big, and much healthier.

It has been 1 year since I started this Journey and although I have had many ups and downs, I feel healthier and am much more active and loving it.

My recent doctors appointment revealed my BP is under control, My A1C is 6.4 (down from 9.1) and my weight although not nearly as much as I would like is down with my muscle mass increased by 9 lbs. (My hubby says my legs are awesome)

Although I have lots to lose and my activity is up and calories are down I am still struggling with losing the weight. But I am not giving up just pushing on, maybe uphill at times but at the top there will be a down hill sailing.

I love all the many friends I have found here and will continue to support each of them as I know they will do the same for me.

I don't know why my weight loss bar says 0 lbs but I have gone from 262.5 lbs to 229.5 lbs and am feeling great. I am still having trouble with the exercise do to arthritis but as the weight comes off it gets easier. My biggest concern is the new clothes I must buy with times getting so tough. LOL My other problem is I do go through periods where I crave sweets. I have tried the sugarfree and alternates but when I crave something it is like nothing else will do. Luckily I have learned to cut the portions considerably.
Well I am off to do some toning exercises gotta keep up with that even if the treadmill is tough some days. Keep plugging the down hill is just around the corner.

    How many fitness minutes do you want to try to achieve?
    How many pounds would you reasonably like to lose?
    What new activities would you like to try?
    What has been working for you that you would like to continue?
    What hasn't been working and should be changed?

    Not everyone likes to set goals, but it is a valuable tool to use on this journey. Goals help to provide focus and a vision for what we want to accomplish. Even if we fail to meet our goals, the experience provides valuable feedback --- What went wrong? What behavior do we need to change to attain what we set out to do?
