My Choices Today are Better than Yesterday

What is one thing that you could do differently today that would make a tremendous difference in your life?
And why aren't you doing it?

This is part of doing better today than yesterday. I don't have to be perfect, I just have to be doing better.

I love what Joshua Halbursham wrote in Everyday Ethics...

When you judge other people, remember one overriding axiom: ‘Everyone is having a hard time. Everyone is insecure. Everyone is hassled. Everyone is tired – we all need more sleep.
Everyone wishes he had more courage, more money and better social skills. Everyone wants more glamour in life, and we all desperately need more laughter.
Few can figure out how they ended up living the life they lead. Don't be misled by flippant talk – it's a battle for everyone out there.
Give people a break. It's not easy doing a life.

Thank you so much for your beautiful page and your kind words of inspiration... today is a sad day for me (columbus day) and your gentle loving words really struck me with a bolt of HOPE. Everything you said or quoted is so true and makes me realize again how negatively self-involved I've been... thank you for sharing your vision here. I am not genetically Native american but I hope it's ok with you for me to share this quote... "Earth teach me to forget myself ~ as melted snow forgets its life. Earth teach me to remember kindness ~ as dry fields weep with rain."

I had to visit your page after "talking" with you on the Voluntary Simplicity boards. I LOVE kayaking too... My husband and I got kayaks a couple years ago and really enjoy doing that together. Haven't busted them out yet, but hope to do it really soon! I bet there are lots of beautiful lakes in Canada to kayak... there are several where I am (In NE PA) that I've yet to explore. :-) MiMi
