I am just past 50 and have danced around this site for a couple of years but I have to get serious about weight loss and so I am back for another try. I am a wife, Mother of 5 and Grandmother of 4. I am the general manager of our family business which is in the home services industry. Since quitting smoking going on 3 years ago I have been diagnosed with FM as well as an auto-immune liver disorder (currently under control) and have had migraines for years.

I have a lot to learn about taking care to put me first and to listen to my body and pay attention when it is screaming at me to slow down, rest and eat properly.

I quit smoking using an online web support group and it was very helpful now I am going to try to lose weight using the same tools.

Symptoms of Inner Peace
Be on the lookout for symptoms of inner peace. The hearts of a great many have already been exposed to inner peace and it is possible that people everywhere could come down with it in epidemic proportions. This could pose a serious threat to what has, up to now, been a fairly stable condition of conflict in the world.

Some signs and symptoms of inner peace:

• A tendency to think and act spontaneously rather than on fears based on past experiences.
• An unmistakable ability to enjoy each moment.
• A loss of interest in judging other people.
• A loss of interest in interpreting the actions of others.
• A loss of interest in conflict.
• A loss of the ability to worry. (This is a very serious symptom).
• Frequent, overwhelming episodes of appreciation.
• Contented feelings of connectedness with others and nature.
• Frequent attacks of smiling.
• An increasing tendency to let things happen rather than make them happen.
• An increased susceptibility to the love extended by others as well as the uncontrollable urge to extend it.

My Goals:
I would like to reduce my weight in an attempt to ease the pain of FM. My daughter is getting married in September and I would like to be 40 lbs lighter by then.

I have a series of short term goals each one a milestone weight with a specific meaning for me.

When I first joined the site I was PUSHN50 now I am back and Pasn50 but didn't want to change my name. I am a wife, mother of 5, grandmother of 4, andgeneral manager of our family business. Since quitting smoking 950 days ago I have gained 40 lbs, been diagnosed with FM and liver disease. The good news is that I also found Shirley again. Now it is time to remove the cushion around me.
