My name is Jen. I was born in London, England, but now I live in the OKC area, Oklahoma. I am 46, and I am determined to get down to my goal weight. I was never an inactive person, but somehow over the years of raising children, going to school, and working full time the pounds packed on. Update: Despite tracking my meals, getting addicted to running 5K races, I have not lost any more weight in months. Many years ago when I was 170lbs, I watched my calorie intake and worked out vigorously, (three days a week Tae Kwon Do, and two days a week kickboxing) for four whole months and lost 0 pounds. It appears my body just won't let me go dwon below 170lbs. So annoying I went to 166 then gained it back to 170lb.

Have run 6 5k races now! When I have completed 10x 5K races I intend to start running 10K races. Proud of myself.

Ok I am officially addicted to 5K Runs! Not a real good way to lose weight as I have not had any results, but a cardio workout for sure. Can't wait for my next race!
DOing a treadmillathon with co-workers this week, so that should curb the 5K race appetite for a while.

Ok I have enjoyed losing the first twenty pounds that took twelve weeks, but now I am at a plateau and I hate it. What can I do to start losing again? I am keeping the calories right and exercising? I am trained in wellness, and yet have not been losing despite all the great advise I give myself. Stumped and hating it. emoticon

Ran four miles non stop. Getting ready for my first 5K in July. Twelve weeks ago I couldn't even run 100 feet!

So did the 5K run.. yeay..felt like I set a goal and accomplished it!

Weight still not shifting though despite all the training and exercise I do... geez...
