I am a 31 year old female who has always struggled with my weight. Many times I have started a program but have never lasted more than a month or 2 on my fitness journey. Recently something just clicked with me. I have a new direction in life. I have been unemployed since Dec 2010. Unable to find a job I looked at different career training programs. Came across the EMT field. I begin my training for EMT Basic on Sept 30. I am so excited.

**UPDATE 12/27/2013**
I turn in my paperwork from my emt clinicals on Monday Dec 30th and then schedule and take my National Registry exam. Phase 2 of my EMT training consists of getting certified and getting healthier,stronger,and losing weight. I just really could not focus all the time needed for this during the past 2 months while in class. I was constantly studying for my exams each week. I have tried off and on for many years to lose weight but now I have true motivation and a true reason to not give up.My future patients will be counting on me to be the best I can be for them.Also my future crew mates are depending me on me as well. My life is finally turning around. I have moved from Houston to Livingston now. My parents just bought the house next door (its bigger and roomier) and will be moving in as soon as they get it renovated. They are going to be renting their old house to me. I am so excited. For the past few years I have had to share an apt with my dad in Houston and depend on my parents. As soon as I get certified I can begin applying for jobs as either an ER Tech or EMT. They are already calling this my house. It is so exciting. For Christmas my parents got me this cool laptop that even has a webcam on it so I can begin doing vlogs and pictures.

My Program:
For now, I plan on just eating healthy, making healthier choices, drinking at least 8 cups of water/day, and doing something active for at least 30 mins a day. Going to try things totally different this time around. Will vlog at least once a week and blog throughout the week as well. Will be taking pictures all through my journey.Plan to shoot for 10% at a time. Starting weight: 230 Ending Weight Goal:150
