I have been on the journey of weight lose for over 3 years now. I have been as heavy as 217 pounds and as lite as 135. Only time I was under 135 was before I could remember lol. My pour dear husband married a much smaller person, I dieted to get small by taking pills and eating well under 1000 calories. My gallbladder didn't like it much! So all of the weight and more went on with my first pregnancy. I found myself pregnant again within 2 months of first birth, well before any 1st baby weight could come off. So I was almost 200 lb. with the birth of number 2. (He weighed 10 lbs - so I lost at least that much lol.) Three years later came number 3, and I still hadn't lost much weight. Six years later I was pregnant with twins, which caused a lot of gallbladder problems so I only gained a few pounds while carrying them. (Girls caused gallbladder problems, boys caused vomiting - Twins were boy and girl - yuck) I knew by then that if I wanted to lose weight I would need to eat a low fat diet like I was forced to during the pregnancy. When they were 6 I started the true journey to losing weight. I lost 50 pounds and decided I didn't like the 2 hours exercise needed to keep going. So in 2005 when the scale hit 217 I knew what I needed to do. So the hard work of change in diet and exercise began in earnest. I did lose 60 pounds the first year and a half , but once again was frustrated with always having to take out the time to exercise hard : ( Although I have only gained back 10 - 15 lbs I am still determined that I will lose weight yet. In the low times I try to remember the following Bible verse.
Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

My Goals:
I have lost 60 pound before finding this sight. Sadly I gained almost all of them back on over the last few years, but want to get motivated again. Then by God's grace keep it off.


My Program:
I have been eating less food and exercising a lot. I was(and need to get back to) walking 4 miles in 1 hour each day. I don't cut out my cravings, just try to make sure they are very small amounts, and not very often.



Personal Information:
I live in Northern Illinois. My husband and I have been married for 34 years (on Feb. 14, 2015). We have home-schooled for 15 years, starting with all 5 but only 2 left.
I am now a Grandma finally, sadly she lives 6 hours away.
I also love reading and hate exercising!


Other Information:
I work as a Comfort Keeper and enjoy helping the elderly!
