Personal Information:
I'm a 54 year old wife/Mom/homemaker/friend who used to be thin and in great shape half a lifetime ago...I know what it feels like and I want to get back there! Things happen, lifestyles change, and in what seems like nano seconds you look in the mirror and don't recognize the person looking back.....

Other Information:
I love to read. I appreciate nature. I have a massive collection of mid - 20th century dinnerware and kitchen glassware. My 2 dogs, a Schipperke and a Chocolate Lab, are my constant companions. UPDATE: Rascal my dear Schipperke passed away on January 19, 2010. We all miss him, especially me and my Chocolate Lab Lottie. Rascal was the boss of our family! My page will be dark for a time while I adjust to the loss of a true friend in this life.

I remember those XC dinners well. The carbs are great for the runners...not so much for the couch potatoes! Stay strong and avoid any leftover garlic bread! (Says the woman who ate Thai noodles with peanut sauce for dinner.)

How are you doing today? So far, so good here. I've been very productive, and even got the dogs out for a walk. :-) Now go do some squats and have a glass of water!

Martha -- I meant to ask... have you heard of TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly)? I'd never heard of it, but a friend from work goes there and has lost weight on the program. It's a national non-profit, unlike WW, and (if I remember correctly) it's a one-time fee of $25 that gets you into the meetings and a subscription to their magazine. You might want to see if they have a chapter near you -- you'd get the accountability that WW offers without the expense. Just a thought. Now, go do 50 crunches and drink another glass of water. :-)
