getting real with myself, starting with realistic goals, starting with walking
I'm a 56 year old wife/Mom/homemaker/friend who used to be thin and in great shape half a lifetime ago...I know what it feels like and I want to get back there! Things happen, lifestyles change, and in what seems like nano seconds you look in the mirror and don't recognize the person looking back.....
I love to read. I appreciate nature. I have a massive collection of mid - 20th century dinnerware and kitchen glassware. My 2 dogs, a Schipperke and a Chocolate Lab, are my constant companions. UPDATE: Rascal my dear Schipperke passed away on January 19, 2010. We all miss him, especially me and my Chocolate Lab Lottie. Rascal was the boss of our family! My page will be dark for a time while I adjust to the loss of a true friend in this life.
Thanks for the teapot and the nice message -- it put a smile on my face to think about those visits on your patio. :-) And timely, too. I'd just finished sending you that message on FB. So now, thanks to you, I think I'm going to forego the "one last" bowl of ice cream I'd been considering, and have a cup of tea instead. I'm so glad Sparkpeople brought us together!
Hi, Thank you so much for the goodie and the well wish. I must confess that I have been tardy in keeping up with my spark friends. I have not been too well, now they tell me I have sjogrens syndrome. But anyhow such as life must deal with it. My son bought a house and we are going tomorrow to help them get moved in. I am sure I can do something like clean something for them. How are things your way, love your background and pics. Take care. Florence
Are you home? Did you have a fabulous time? Looking forward to hearing all about it!
No good news here -- my hormones are a chaotic mess right now. Excuses, excuses.... Katherine's due home in 2 weeks and I'm only a pound or two lighter than when she left for the summer. Disgraceful. Next goal - wedding to attend in October. Maybe I can drop ten pounds by then. Regardless, I'll need to go shopping for something suitable to wear. :-(
