In need of motivation!

In January of 2000, I realized I was way overweight after seeing pictures of myself in a swimsuit, and my then 8 year old daughter telling me I was fat at her birthday party in front of her friends! (THANK YOU KAYLA for motivating me!) After being weighed at a doctors appointment, I found I weighed 215 pounds. I started exercising and eating better and lost 55 pounds!

Since then, two different times I have regained about 25 pounds, and lost it again. I have never really been able to get down below 160 any of these times. That is my real goal. I just want my BMI to not be in the overweight category!

This last time I lost weight I finally convinced my husband Jeff to join me, about 2 years ago now, and he lost 50 pounds. He has now regained about 15 pounds and we are trying to get motivated together to get in great shape before our cruise in March. We are going to be sexy, in shape, and tan!

My Goals:
I want my BMI to be in the normal weight category and to feel good about myself!
I want Jeff and I to work out regularly so we feel strong (And I love to watch him work out!)
I want us to look good for our age.
I want to teach my daughters how to eat healthy (not diet!) and enjoy the feeling of exercising and keeping their body looking good.
I dont want them to gain weight as they get older because it is way harder to take off!

My Program:
I am going to track my calories on here and work out every night I have an opportunity to.
I love to lift weights and I will have my main focus on that, since my foot pain unfortunately limits my cardio!

Personal Information:
We live in Bondurant. I work as a Pharmacy tech at Methodist. We have 2 girls, Kayla is 16, Nicole is 12. We have been married for 17 years.

Thanks for the message Amy! I can't believe how easy it is to get off track and stop exercising and eating right. I'm hoping 2010 is better for me than 2009!

Texas is good. I still think Iowa is home and I'm not sure if that will change. I am still training at my new job and cannot wait to be done. The weather hasn't actually been that great. It has snowed 3 times since I have been down here and it has been in the 20's and 30's this week. I know it is MUCH better than Iowa but I was hoping for some warmer weather. I'm sure we will get plenty of it this summer though!

Well... I hope all is well with you. Good luck on your diet as well and HAPPY NEW YEAR!
