Given some of your previous camping experiences, I hope this one was wins, rain and tornado free!

I noticed you left a message on MerryMary's page about pocket parrots. I used to own two Senegal parrots that I was given by a breeder for caring for hers while she went away on holidays (the first one I called Sunny) and when she had to move and couldn't take her male baby (Chip) she gave him to me to breed with my Sunny. Sunny bonded with me and Chip bonded with my husband and the two wouldn't breed with one another. They both thought they were persons. We had a stray cat get into our house while we were moving with the doors open and before we even knew it was in the house it had got into the birds area and killed them. I was so devastated if was as though I had lost a part of me we were so close. I used to teach a children's Sunday school class and Sunny would sometimes come and visit the kids. She used to spend most of the day sitting on my shoulder watching whatever I was doing and she would chirp constantly at me talking all the time telling me whatever was on her little mind. They had their wings clipped so they couldn't fly (which was what my friend the breeder advised me to do with Sunny when she gave her to me). We were afraid they would fly out of the house if we didn't but after the cat killed them I was wishing I hadn't clipped their wings because then I still would have them both. It has been 14 yrs. since their death and I still feel the loss and miss them. I never got another bird after that and now I own a dog who keeps getting out of the yard to go visit the neighborhood. He thinks he's a person too.

I'm so very glad you are better! I'm playing guitar and loving it! Learning to fingerpick Annie's Song in Open D, -and Dropped D tuning. Fun!

I also took a hiatus from SP, but periodically I come back to see who's here and re-connect. I'm still tweaking my diet, until I get it just right.
I've recently decreased carbs, increased the fat a little and increased the vegetables quite a bit. It is just about the right proportions, another 2 weeks should get me on track to about 40 emoticon carbs a day average. That will allow some deviation from a no sugar, low carb diet and keep things interesting!
Talk to you soon!
