    RELIEVE HOLIDAY STRESS WITH EXERCISE
    The holidays are known for being the most stressful time of the whole year and it is a fact that the best way to relieve stress is to exercise. Even though you have a long shopping list to plod through, that’s even more of a reason to hit the gym. After 30 minutes on the treadmill, your mother-in-laws pending visit will not seem so overwhelming. The Christmas cards that you have not sent out yet, will not seem like such a big deal. Exercise releases stress in your life and gets the endorphins flowing so that you feel much better. So during this wonderful but very frenzied season, make sure you keep your daily exercise going. Not only will the pressure and tension be easier to handle, you will also have the energy that exercise gives you to be more productive and get more things done like shopping, gift wrapping, addressing Christmas cards, decorating, etc.

    As the Holidays approach
    and all the madness starts,
    we sometimes forget to keep
    gratefulness in our hearts.
    The meaning of Christmas,
    can easily get lost,
    as we worry over how much
    that new gift will cost.
    We fight the crowds at the mall
    and tromp through the slush.
    We get all caught up
    in the Holiday rush.
    We've got presents to wrap,
    and cookies to bake.
    Trees to put up,
    and pictures to take.
    So this year....just maybe,
    stop...take a time out.
    Just stop and remember
    what Christmas is all about.
    It's not just about presents,
    or that white turtledove.
    It's also about family,
    about miracles, and love.
    So when people drive you crazy,
    and things get really wild.
    Remember that Christmas
    began with a Child.

    Stopping by to emoticon for the support on my Spark page! I just want to encourage you to get some fitness time accomplished today! I managed a brief 20 minute walk this morning in 7 degree weather. My walking partner reminded me of the verse "Whoever walks with the wind becomes wise"......Proverbs 13:20 All I can say is-----may it come true!
