"Furbabies" PACO & SABREENA
Welcome to my SparkPage!
So pleased that you stopped by. My name is Carrie. I will be 65 in April. I am a wife of 46 years, mother of 2, grandmother of 4 and a Red Hat Diva Red Hatter, who enjoys buzzing around town in my little Smart Car.
I also have two VERY very spoiled "furkids", my adorable chihuahuas, Paco & Sabreena. Love love LOVE them to pieces!
Ok, now let's try this again..... About this weight thing!
HERE'S MY STORY, IT'S SAD, BUT TRUE.... (you know the tune ;-)
I've been fighting the "battle of the bulge" for many many years. I've tried many different diets. (I don't think there's one out there that I haven't tried.) Took it off, put it on, took it off, put it on and on and on! I got sooo tired of dieting, that I took the last couple of years off and unfortunately it now shows big time! I'm really hoping that "the spark" is what I need to get and keep me motivated.
My goal for this year in a nutshell is to take control & eat healthier in hopes of losing some major pounds.
I'm so happy & excited that I found *SparkPeople* (through a motivating write-up in Woman's World), as I feel I've taken the 1st & most important major step in helping me accomplish my goal!
By Golly! I think I've got the "spark"! :-)
Much Luck & Success To You All!
FOOD FOR THOUGHT: (Iove this quote!)
Attitudes are contagious. Is your worth catching?
BE Happy!!! :-)
1. Eat healthier
2. Exercise more
3. Feel & look better!
5. Be Happy! :-)
I'm starting out by taking it one day at a time.
Believe me, after all the diets I've been on, I KNOW what foods I should be eating & that I should be exercising every day!
Steps I am taking are:
1. Most important...
Joined SparkPeople to keep motivated!
2. Eat Healthier...
EX: MORE Fruits, vegetables, & water, water, WATER!
Basically, I'm a country gal who loves life & spending time with my family and friends.
I am married to a great guy who is my very best friend. We will be married 47 years April 14, 2015.
We were blessed with a daughter and a son, three grandsons, and a granddaughter. They are, without a doubt, the sunshine in our lives!
And of course there's my "furbabies" that I just adore!
I also belong to a Red Hat chapter called "The Endless Mts. Red Hat Divas". Much fun & laughs with a FUNtastic group of gals. Our motto is "Girls just wanna have FUN!" And that we do!!!
And last, but not least, I still work full time. I think it keeps me active & alert! To coin a phrase from a fellow Sparker "you rest, you rust!" (Having moola isn't all bad either!) :-)
