Welcome to My World

Hi! I'm Laura! I'm 30 years old, married to the love of my life, and have three obnoxious dogs that I couldn't live without. I spend 5 mornings a week running my bread route. Been doing that for 6 years now and absolutely love it. I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis 3 years ago. Haven't found any medications to help, but I hope in taking on a more active and healthier lifestyle I'll be helping that out as well. Hi! I've been on here quite a few years now and whenever I'm ready to make a change and come into a healthier lifestyle this is always the most helpful way for me to do so. About 7 years ago I was able to lose 60 pounds using Spark. At this point in my life unfortunately I've started back with 100 pounds to lose. But nothing worth having isn't worth putting the time and effort in. This January I joined an amazing gym that just does group fitness and I'm quickly becoming obsessed! Kickboxing, Zumba, Hot Iron, TRX resistence training, they do it all and I'm loving it. Exercising and losing weight is so much easier when it doesn't feel like work!

My Goals:
My goals are to lose 100 pounds and be happy and comfortable in my own skin again. I want to get back into that lifestyle I used to have in being healthy and enjoying healthy eating and exercise habits. Once you get into the swing it's hard to go back. Once you've gone back, it's hard to get back in. I think I'm more than half back in.... practice makes perfect!

My Program:
Because I've been doing a lot of exercising including strength training it's been hard for me to pinpoint the calories I should be consuming to achieve maximum weightloss. At the moment 1500 calories a day seems to be working well for me. I've also been going to the gym and exercising at home at least 5 or 6 days a week.

Personal Information:
I grew up in Jackson, NJ and spent most of my life there. My husband and I bought a house 2 years ago in Toms River.

I own a Pepperidge Farm bread route. I'm out delivering 5 days a week. I love the work I do. I'm the process of selling my route and buying an Arnold's route that's bigger and will keep me busier.

Other Information:
I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis 3 years ago. Haven't found any medications to be effective for me yet, but hopefully one day. Chronic pain gets to be really old sometimes. I feel lucky in that it hasn't kept me back much though I'm sure one day it will. Just have to take one day at a time and deal with what you're given. Know your limits and try to respect them.

Hello darling! My name is Angela, and I am the new co-leader on the RA Fit Chicks Club Team. I hope you are able to stop by the team page and give us an update on how you are doing, or even participate in our challenges.

We are continuing our weekly weigh-in challenge. We weigh in every Wednesday. If Wednesday doesn't work for you, pick a day and just update us weekly. And if you'd rather not share your actual weight, you can post those pounds lost or gained (-2 pounds, +2 pounds).

We are also still Hiking Through Europe. This is a step equivalent exercise that you use to convert all your exercise into steps. You report your steps every Saturday and we calculate the total miles and then update you on how far the team has walked and in which city we end up, and a few facts about that city. We are currently in Finland.

I hope you can stop by and visit us soon. The more, the merrier! Happy October!

Hugs, Ang

Good morning.

You recently joined the RA Fit Chicks Club. However, when you joined it wasn't very active. I've been made a new co-leader and I'm trying to get the team going again but I can't do it without your help. So pop over to the board and start posting. I can't wait to get to know you.

Take care.
