Ready for Total Fitness

I'm 52 years old and I'm tired of starting and stopping and continually starting over as I try to obtain overall fitness. I can't seem to stay committed long term to good nutrition. I've discovered Spark People and Crossfit exercises and I'm challenging myself to take it to a new level and stay on course. I run road races up to half marathons (13.1 miles). I'm 52 years old and I'm tired of starting and stopping and continually starting over as I try to obtain overall fitness. I can't seem to stay committed long term to good nutrition. I've discovered Spark People and Crossfit exercises and I'm challenging myself to take it to a new level and stay on course. I run road races up to half marathons (13.1 miles). My goal is to lose 23 pounds which will make everything easier. My goal is to run 10 half marathons in 2010. I have 5 under my belt, registered for 3 more, leaving two to go. I'm not a speedster - best half time is 2:09. A 2:00 half would be awesome. My husband is my greatest supporter. I know I can do this with all that Spark People offers in the way of support and direction!!! I'm ready for total fitness!!

My Goals:
Lose 23 lbs
Run 10 half marathons in 2010.
Overcome anxiety during CROSSFIT workouts.
Stay motivated - whatever it takes.
Run a 27:59 or less 5K.


My Program:
Attending CROSSFIT workouts twice a week with a PT.

Following a training schedule to complete a half marathon.

Utilizing Spark People as my driving force especial for nutrition tracking.

Nice to see you on the Crossfit Team. I love Crossfit. Have done it for a little over a year and it has made me the strongest I've ever been.

It is hard, but it makes you so proud of what you can push yourself to do.

Stick with it!

try to wear the skort.. I have major jelly upper thighs from being very very overweight! If I will wear them you can wear them! :) They are very comfy! emoticon

HI! I'm on the half marathon runners team too. I thought from your post you must live relatively close by. I'm in northeastern MO, about 20 miles from IL. Nice to meet you!!!
