Reading some blogs and other articles recently - my head is not sure how or what to do next in terms of "setting goals"...

But maybe...

Getting more focused on doing (or re-doing) those activities back into my life??

My Goals:
I've never really been at a "normal" weight for my age. It's difficult to "picture" what I would actually look like when I reach goal. More importantly is how will I feel about myself when I reach goal? Will it frighten me? I know I will feel better. There was a brief time in high school where I lost 30 pounds and was pretty close to goal weight but still 15-20 pounds over what the "chart guessers" thought. Yet I remember how energetic I felt, how awesome it felt to try on smaller pants, guessing at size, only to discover that they also were TOO BIG, and going down to a smaller size. Really cool. So I want that feeling again.

I've see various relatives struggling in their 70's and 80's because they made poor choices in their diet, didn't exercise, and they are having an awful time. Yet, I do see some friends in their 80's and 90's who are really ROCKIN', in great health, energetic, and I want to be that way when I'm in my 80's or 90

My Program:
Well, so far, the program is to just get this set up and figure out what is what, decide what to do, get some sleep, GET OFF THE INTERNET (including the wonderfully fun websites like this one!), and get some SLEEP!

EAT VEGGIES! I love them, but why won't I stop and prepare them for myself?

Do 15 minutes of DeCluttering 4-6 days a week (FlyLady!)

Okay, I'm not done with this list now. But I'm giving myself permission to stop here and revisit it later. It shouldn't go away anytime soon, as long as SparkGuy has enough squirrels running on the electric generators to keep powering the computers holding all of the SparkPeople pages!!

Then I can update this later with more profound coherent goals.

Personal Information:
I'm north of Wichita, KS not far - if that's where you are, drop me a note! Maybe we can walk??

That would be so cool to have Princess Leia out and about! They have a southern california select annual pass. It's 289 dollars for the year, it has a TON of black out dates, (holidays, weekends and summer time)... the only killer is parking is 17 dollars per time. I could have added parking to my pass for 160, but when I bought the pass I thought I'd go 5 or 6 times and be done. Next time I renew I will add the parking. That is what adds up. Other than that maybe 10 bucks for lunch and I'm set. ;) he he! And thanks for the compliment on the shoes, they are skechers and they are mostly comfy... i got them on clearance lol ;)

Thanks for checking in. Everything is working out, slowly but surely. We're on the home stretch now. The good news, I'm still maintaining and even though I'm currently displaced, me and my new wife have a gym membership and I've been enjoying lifting with her 3 to 4 times a week. I'm injury free and flirting with some of my previous lift PRs.

The only bad news is that we're stuck in Ireland until July. Long story. lol.

Hi! Thank you so much for the goodie and the sweet note you left on my page! That's awesome that you just visited Ireland! I can't wait to see the pics! It's my dream to go there one day! I probably will NEVER leave, haha! How cool about your friend at Sorenson! I work at a Sorenson center in Tennessee! I lived in Kansas for a short time about 8 years ago, but wasn't in the interpreting field at the time. Hope you have a great day! emoticon
