Finally...a lifestyle and not a diet! :)

I am 43 and a mom of 3 busy kids. I really am tired of wearing black and baggy clothes to hide my body. I am 5'3" and my goal is to be back physically where I was in high school. I want to wear shorts and see toned legs, short sleeves without regrets!

Well, that was back in April. Today I am down over 20 inches and 100 sticks of butter! I continue to self- criticize when I see my reflection somewhere and it's less than flattering, but I am slowly learning that my dedication to my ...

Well, that was back in April. Today I am down over 20 inches and 100 sticks of butter! I continue to self- criticize when I see my reflection somewhere and it's less than flattering, but I am slowly learning that my dedication to my health and fitness is paying off. For me, it's not about what others see, it's how I feel inside. :)

My Goals:
To get back to the body I once had!
New Goals for July:
Get all Strength exercises done before anyone wakes up and drink all 8 glasses before 6 am! :)

My Program:
The most amazing and effective realization for me was when I began tracking and drinking water. I never felt dehydrated before, but once I began truly drinking 10 glasses of water daily, I woke up with a thirst! I still drink up to 100 oz a day and feel it when I go below. Also, tracking my food was a real eye opener. I thought I knew where my daily intake was going, but gradually I began to notice trends. I don't diet, but some foods are just not worth it! I still love bologna sandwiches, but now they're on a thin bun with tons of veggies and Late July chips on the side. I don't miss anything! I still drink on the weekends, but now I make better choices about quality and quantity! I love Bloody Marys!

Other Information:
I am an avid volunteer in our community and sometimes I say 'yes' to others when I should focus on my own goals. I am learning to put ME on the list of daily things to work on! (Feels quite nice for a change to ask myself, "What is something I wish someone would do for me?" then answer by doing it for myself...I'm worth it!

People come and people go,
In and out of your life and so,
When one shines bright among the rest,
And is there when needed, youíre truly blessed.
That is how I see you, friend of mine,
And why Iím sending this Valentine. emoticon

Thanks for the comment on my blog! I'm going to try the switch from the loseit app to the sparkpeople app, so everything will track in one place! :)

I hope you're feeling better since the negative coworker incident last week!
