I've struggled with my weight my entire life...up and down, up and down. But I haven't given up, I'm gonna keep on fighting. I'm not a wimp, life might knock me down at times, but you know what? I get back up! I've been knocked down, but I'm fighting again!!!
My first goal is to get back to 200lbs. I really don't remember weighing much less than this in my entire adult life. To be honest....I didn't feel too bad when I was there.
I want to focus on eating fruits and veggies. I would like to have at least 5 servings a day.
Lastly I don't want to be obsessed with the scale. I want to focus on health and the way I feel.
I am logging my food and calorie intake on sp. I want to stay under 1500 calories.
I am trying to stick to low fat proteins, high fiber carbs, and fruits and veggies.
As far as exercise goes....I am doing some weight training and some cardio.
I live in PA, with my husband and 2 children.
My son, Jaden, turned 4 in Feb. 2011. My daughter, Alexis, just turned 3 in March 2011. Needless to say I am a very busy Mommy. I love it though.
I love the outdoors! I just love to be outside. I love going for walks with my husband and kids, I love bon fires in the yard, I love camping, hiking, swimming, biking....you name it and it's done outside I love it. My kids love to be out there too!
I treasure those special times that my husband and I spend together alone. I love our special "dates".
Most importantly I am a Christian. Jesus is the most important person in my life! God truly has been good to me. I have had some ups and downs, but the Lord has been with me through it all! He is my very best friend. I know that he will be with me on this journey of weight loss. Praise the Lord!

Amy, I totally feel ya. Let's keep each other motivated...this is an ESPECIALLY hard time of year.
My goal this year isn't to lose throughout the holidays--it's to maintain. Normally I gain about 10-15 pounds through Thanksgiving and Christmas, so this year I hope to eat sensibly and workout and maintain. I know if I stress about losing during the holidays, I'll get discouraged more than anything!
It's all about support, and we're in this together!

Hi Amy! I've missed seeing you around here on SP. I was out of the loop for quite a while...I've put on about 25 pounds from my lowest weight (and since my wedding this summer) and now I'm struggling to get back into a routine and figure out how to make the scale go in the direction I want to see it go again.
This is a battle that we're all in together. I sure have missed you, but I hope you and your family are doing great!
