Adapting to change, and making it work for me.

So here's a little bit of insight:

If you don't like something in your life, CHANGE it!

So here's a little bit of insight:

If you don't like something in your life, CHANGE it!

I started SP almost three years ago, and I have gained many things along the way.

I have gained 9 pounds since starting. Counterproductive? In a certain light, yes, but in the big picture, definitely not.

I realized that when I signed up for SP in the first place I was not appreciating my body as it was. What I really gained from SP was confidence and the realization that I should be thankful for what I have, and not concentrate on what I am lacking. And you know what, I have been successful in changing my frame of mind. I used to be so obsessed with that number on the scale. Now I am wary of good habits, but I let myself indulge and I do not deprive myself. The confidence I have gained outweighs the weight that I have gained.

If you are reading this and are dissatisfied with your body, if you desperately want to lose weight, if your eating habits and moodswings (due to these habits) are affecting other parts of your life, I can really offer you one piece of advice that will surely help you:

If you want to change yourself, you have to love yourself first.

You need to start changing for the right reasons, you need to be kind to yourself and you need to not judge your flaws. Because if you concentrate on the negative you will get negative results.

There are so many benefits that come from eating and exercising properly. They will make your life a lot more enjoyable, it's guaranteed. If it's not all of the equation. If you think that happiness comes with being lighter, you have to take a deeper look inside and see what will really make you happy, or why you are unhappy in the first place. A lot of times we think it is the weight that makes you unhappy when in reality it is something else that is causing you to eat your emotions away. You need to get back in touch with your happy self, and once you do, your motivation will be higher.

I wish you all the best of luck.

I know what it is like to struggle nearly your whole life, unable to do something as basic as nurture yourself. But there is a way to get to your goals and to better yourself. You just have to take a good look at yourself, you have to look beyond the size of your body and see the person behind those beautiful eyes.

What you posted on this page is very true. Many can, and I’m sure they do, learn from your approach.

I feel energized after I read what you have on your “my Spark Page”.

If your picture is current you don’t appear to need any weight loss.

Hey!

Great Photo Gallery!

My question is -- EXACTLY where are those hot springs in Bolivia??? I'm planning to travel in Bolivia next year and would LOVE to know where they are. Have you been to Santa Clara or Sucre, Bolivia? Isn't the Trail and MachuPichu spectacular! Por casualidad, hablas español?

Ciao!
