My Journey

Hello Guest!
I am a married mother of two. I have a ten year old and an infant. After gaining 40 pounds during my last pregnancy and reaching a whopping 200+ lbs I was devastated. While my pregnancy and labor was easy my delivery left me sore for months (a big baby coming out face up).
Once I was able to workout I began running and strength training I managed to lose 10 lbs pretty quickly. However, I am not seeing results as fast as I would like to so, I believe tracking my fitness will motivate me to be more consistent.

Long story short I really want to look as healthy as I feel. I have managed an average weight of 194. I am 5'9" and I want to lose another 30 pounds by this spring. I have begun to work out and I dance regularly again. My goal is to trim the fat and keep the lean.

My photos on this page represent my life. I am a praying woman fully commited to serve Jesus Christ. There is power in a praying women, hence my user name. I am a prophetic minister of dance in my church and in my community. I currently teach high school Language Art in a public suburban school, where I am allowed to shape the minds of tomorrows leaders. For that reason, I have given myself the silver apple; a reward for redeeming a responsbility and opportunity too many others take for granted.

I hope you enjoy my blog! I look forward to meeting and getting leaner with you.

Blessings,
PrettyPowerful

Welcome to the Breastfeeding moms team. My last baby was also face up - took me several months to recover from that too (and no pain meds whatsoever during the birth - ouch) It was by far, the most difficult delivery/recovery I've ever had.
Isn't it neat having a 10yr age gap!! My girls are 10 yrs apart and my boys are 10 yrs apart. I love it.

I look forward to getting to know you on the team.

Hi and Welcome to Team Tight & Toned, where we recognize and embrace strength-training as a benefit. Good luck with the remaining baby weight, you can do it!
