2006 -- Joined Sparkpeople
2009 -- Actually started using it! Lost 38 pounds.
2012 -- Had regained 30 pounds and turned back to Spark -- lost 70 pounds! Got within spitting distance of my goal.
2014 -- Regained 20 pounds.

So, where am I at now? I'm determined. I'm ferocious. I'm ready to keep banging my head against the ...

So, where am I at now? I'm determined. I'm ferocious. I'm ready to keep banging my head against the wall until I figure out what will work for me. I see now that it isn't enough to lose weight -- it has to be sustainable, you have to be able to keep it off. There is no magic recipe -- the formula for success is constantly changing. And I am determined to keep up.

My Goals:
My ultimate goal is to be happy and healthy in all arenas of my life. Many people in my family have struggled with their weight and I hope to break free of the cycle and blaze my own trail. As of July 2013, I have lost 70 pounds!

My Program:
Dancing 6 days a week.
Strength Training 3 days a week.
Walking 2 to 4 miles a day.
I try to eat REAL FOOD, not merely food like substances.
I drink my water and try to get appropriate sleep.
I also actively seek to manage and reduce my stress through prayer, exercise and relaxation.

Personal Information:
I love all things artsy, from paintings to films to music. I graduated from law school in May of 2011. I love to swim, dance and walk by the beach. I love California and all of our wonderful beaches, forests, wines and cheeses. :)

I find the straight-forward, non sugar-coated approach works best with me, and I can totally see myself through your post!
I also find that only when I am willing to push myself out of my comfort zone and do what I need to do (eat healthy pretty much all the time and not binge and fall back into old unhealthy eating patterns) then I will reap the rewards of my hard, hard work. No one said it was going to be easy! I shake a fist at anyone who finds this easy (out of jealousy). I wish it were easier.
You'll find your balance between the possible and impossible :)

PS- I noticed my spelling mistake in the sentence you quoted!: *or not of

OHHH EMMMMM GEEEEE!!!!! Heyyyy girl!!!!! Yes, I'm back....and technically starting all the way over (long story). It's soooo good to cyber see you! emoticon I was wondering how many of my original Sparkers are still here. You're one of the few but it makes me feel good to know that you haven't given up! Hey pretty lady!

I'm not sure I was *really* plateauing, because my body only loses at very specific times of the month, but I actually RAISED my calories by 100 and started losing again. I'm hoping my Christmas present to myself can be transitioning to maintenance.
