Hello to my fellow Spark People!! I fell in love with this website about 4 years ago. I gave up for a while, but am back on track and feel it is going to help me to eat healthier and be more active and to stick to it.

I am not a big person, but I am not in great shape. I love to work out and eat healthy because it makes me feel better about myself but I don't always stick to it- that's why I'm on here; to get some motivation and become more educated on living a more healthy lifestyle. There are so many informative articles and yummy recipes on here, it's incredible!!!

I also find the groups and the nutrition and fitness trackers to be soooo helpful! My only major issue is I have a degenerative disc problem in my lower back so that does affect what kind of exercise I can do. I am also a university student which makes it hard to do much more than sit for the entire day, which is the most painful for my back. Despite that, there are many helpful tips and links to help me to work around it.

I really want to thank you all, everyone on here is so supportive and motivational. I find this site such a positive addition to my life and absolutely indispensable to my health and fitness regimen.

My Goals:
I want to lose 18 pounds by the middle-end of October and I just want to feel healthier all around. I want to eat better 100% of the time, not just during the week. I want to be more toned and I want to start writing in my journal more :)

1. Exercise 5-6 times a week
2. Drink 8 glasses of water a day
3. Eat healthy foods and snacks
4. Cut down on eating at restaurants to zero or once a week

Daily:
*Drink 80 oz or more of water

*Complete scheduled workout
*Remain motivated
*Work towards goals


My Program:
I am on Spark''s Meal Planner and Nutrition Tracker as well as a Fitness Plan. I am also doing Yoga once or twice a week, walking for an hour every day as well as strength trianing every day for a half an hour and stretching for 10 minutes. As well, I try and go swimming 2 times a week. Lets hope I can stick with it!



Personal Information:
I am currently a university student. I love reading and spending time with my boyfriend, friends and family. I also love to go shopping (what girl doesn't) and going to the movies.


Other Information:
My favourite books- anything by Hemingway, Steinbeck or Virginia Woolf. Favourite Movies- Romeo and Juliet, Waking the Dead and The Hangover. Favourite Foods- anything Italian or Greek and Kiwi Fruit!!
