My Goals:
My ultimate goal is around 175 pounds.

My closer goal is 225. My boyfriend and I plan to get engaged at that point.

I'd like to be able to run/jog a 5K, and regularly run/jog outside.



My Program:
Making all my meals at home; packing breakfast,lunch, and snacks when I have to be out long. Working to increase fresh produce in our cooking, and limit processed carbs; especially breads and pastas. I take my vitamins every day.

For fitness, I jog in-place at home with my boyfriend as my gym buddy. We try to do an hour on work nights, and 2 hours on days off. I also use a TotalGym and do calisthenics and yoga, as well as working with kettlebells and resistence-based tools like a Thighmaster. We are also beginning to use Bob Harper exercise videos and a an 80-lb punching bag.

Personal Information:
In this journey, I'm motivated by my boyfriend and my mother. We are all striving, not necessarily toward thinness or beauty; but for health. I hope to be able to get off of all the medications I am prescribed, and to feel stable and healthy in doing so. I am currently medicated for Bipolar Disorder, Sjogren's Disease (auto-immune), Fibromyalgia, PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrome, Panic Disorder, and chronic migraines. I do a lot of research, and hope to be able to solve all of my issues with a healthy lifestyle.

Other Information:
I've come to love outdoor activities, and hope to do a lot of hiking, rafting, and start a garden once the weather is proper.

I really appreciate your encouragement! I pretty much only work out at home. Switching it up to a different kind of ST is something I'm going to work on. :) Pre-cooking is also a great idea, and something that tends to work for us. Thank you again!

You sound like I was a while ago. It's seems I couldn't get my eating sync with my exercising or it I was I wasn't loosing. Again look for other ways to notice if you loosing. Check those inches. How's your clothes feeling and more important how are you feeling??? I ALWAYS feel better when I'm working out. Some day I don't. Like this morning I just couldn't get motivated but now I'm beating myself up because it rained at lunch and the building is just to HOT to walk, but I'm going to make the best of it when I get home.

Do you workout at home or do you go to the gym?? I prefer working out at home to DVDs because it feels like I have a coach. Another thing I do is NO TV or computer until I do my workout. Set a small goal of something like 3 days of ST this week and you buy a new bottle of nail polish. Start rewarding youself.

I hear you about being tired. I will have healthy foods and I just don't feel like cooking after working. I alot of times cook 2 meals because hubby and son don't like what I cook for myself. I cook for them and then I don't feel like cooking for me and I'm grabbing something bad. Plan ahead and maybe pre prep the meals in advance. Have things already measured out so they are easy to grab that works for me.

Id like to invite you to join in my challenge to lose 10 pound in April .The goal is 10 pounds but really u do what u can. The decision to how much is ultimately up to you. i know some of us might be saying 10 pounds? WOW, that is too much! cant do it! But i am here to tell u i did it for 7 months straight, (lost 75 pounds) b4 i got sick with cancer and had dropped out for 3 yrs. unfortunately due to lack of activity it took me 3 yrs to gain it all back, but im back to tell you that with your help I can do it again. if u stay within ur calories that are alotted and if u track everything that passes ur lips u can do it too. I was never one that stayed on a diet before, for more than 3 weeks at a time, and then I'd get discouraged and dropped off. i lost 75 pounds just doing calorie counting and tracking to make sure i never went over. i barely exercised ...i am handicapped and i cant do exercises in the conventional way but i flapped my arms while showering, and sitting did leg raises, went up and down my stairs whenever it struck me to do so. i did very minimal stuff. the idea was to keep moving and i did that. so i know with disipline, encouragement and motivation u can too.. so i invite u to come and join me on my 10 pound challenge! cut and paste link below...
