I'm happy to say, on 12-2-11, "I entered maintenance"! Woo-Hoo!

My Story: In June 2010, I weighed 219 pounds. I decided to start exercising and lost 15 pounds. However, I could feel my momentum slipping, sooo, I did a google search for weight loss support and found Spark People. My love affair with SP started that day. LOL! It has truely been a blessing. I'm reading articles, I've made new friends, I track everything I eat, exercise regularly and so forth and so on. I've whole-heartedly embraced my new lifestyle and am thrilled about it!

I love Spark People!

However, and most important, is if it weren't for God, my success and ability to remain steadfast in my new lifestyle of fitness and making good food choices would not be so. I am humbly grateful to HIM forever and ever. In HIM I live and move and have my being.

My program consist of:

a) exercising 3 days a week.

b) staying within my calorie range 95% of the time while eating nutritious & tasty food!

c) stay connected to people that are all about living a healthy lifestyle.

December 2011

Being that I've reached my goal weight, you know what's next... maintaining. Watch me work!

Hey Pres! It's been a super long time but I am trying to get back in the race...I have got a looooong ways to go...but I am not giving up...I now have 2 new children 20 months and 5 weeks! God is good..looking forward to reconnecting with you...be blessed!

Thank you SO much for commenting on my blog! I KNOW that what your saying is so very true!! Tracking my food has always been (UGH) to me because of how hard it is to log every-single-thing! BUT I am going to put in a effort to do it.

I appreciate you always being there for support and great advice!!

I believe that the "cheating" referred to going off a set menu plan for the day or adding extra calories to one's allotted amount for the day.

I read earlier today that some folks call such "cheats" "unplanned indiscretions" & then one comment was that they can be considered "eating off plan". I don't really view them as "cheats" in the sense that one is cheating - unless the calories are not accounted for & then the only one cheated is the one not accounting for that food intake.
