I'm an Aussie living in the US Midwest. I work in aviation software and have started writing in my spare time.

I have a wonderful boyfriend, and a schnoodle who is my Fur Child and my family here. She's also very good at getting me out and walking around the Lakes and staying active.

I love to travel and try to go on an overseas vacation every year, plus I travel to Europe for business several times a year as well.

For exercise I love biking & skiing ...

For exercise I love biking & skiing above everything else. Much further down the list is aerobics (step, spinning, funk... anything), yoga, and hiking. I love to dance after a few cocktails, when I'm convinced that I'm the sexist mover in the room, even whilst my flailing arms are knocking over drinks or loosening teeth.

My Goals:
My current goal is to cycle 65 miles in the Minnesota Ironman on April 25.

I tend to get lazy in winter, and I figured a big spring goal like this would help keep me active when it's cold outside.

My Program:
Until it thaws, I'm doing 3 days a week of weight training at the gym, and 3 cardio workouts (spinning, step etc).

Once it starts to thaw, then I'll have weekend bicycle rides of increasing mileage.

Thank you for reading and responding to my blog.

What you had to add is so true! I know I usually hit plateaus at various points going up, some that I held for a long time. Our bodies actually prefer stability, whether we're gaining or losing.
