No More Excuses!

As someone who never weighed over 125 and could eat whatever I wanted, I never thought I'd be dealing with weight issues. As someone who never weighed over 125 and could eat whatever I wanted, I never thought I'd be dealing with weight issues. But an abusive relationship, the loss of a job and everything that comes with that, making a move across country and the stress of being unemployed led to almost 80 pounds of weight gain. I didn't care. I know now that it has been a way of protecting myself. As long as I was overweight, I didn't have to worry about anyone loving me or caring about me... then I could validate why I felt so worthless. But I haven't given in completely to the depression. In fact, I'm in a great place now and things are only getting better. I just WANT MY LIFE BACK! I want to care about my body, my mind, my spirit and feel good about myself again. I want to gain back my self-confidence with each pound I lose and put myself out there again. I've made excuses for a few years now and enough of that! No one is going to make this happen for me except me. So tomorrow is the 1st day to the rest of my wonderful life. And I can't wait!
