Flip-Flopping

In the last few years I've flip-flopped a lot on the whole dieting/exercise thing. I lost 100 pounds, put more than half of it back on, lost half of that half, then put a bunch more back on until I'm at the point now where I'm almost as fat as I was before I lost the original 100+.

Gonna try again. I'm planning on taking it slow, no huge gestures or aggressive plans, just keep track of what I eat and try to find an exercise plan that works for me. 5th or 6th tries the charm, right?

It's a new year and a new day!

Each day I am going to remind myself:

I can eat well- just for today, I can get more activity, just for today, I can drink 8-10 glasses of water just for today- and I will only concern myself with that day, and then the next day I will repeat that.

2013 is going to be a great Healthy year! One day at a time!

emoticon Welcome to the 300+team. 300 is such a BIG number but if we persevere, focus and motivate one another we can reach our goals!
We have so much of life ahead of us and it is so much better to work on ourselves and reach for our goals.
We can do it-- we are worth the effort!
All we can do is take it one day, one bite, one pound at a time.
I am looking forward to supporting you in your quest for better health and a happier future.

See your post about migraines, bipolar and marriage problems. So decided you needed a group hug emoticon that would help you through the day.

I can relate to the bipolar thing and hear from alot of people that it makes relationships tense at times but can be workable. Spouses find us hard to deal with especially if we have frequent mood swings. I do not know how involved she is in your therapy but that would help.

Migraines - i read recently, and I think here, that taking a good multivitamin plus manganese and zinc help. I mentioned this to my son in law and he said he had recently added a good multivit to his daily routine and was helped alot. So I would look into that avenue.

There are naturalpaths that specialize in mental illness, recently heard about a conference with one, and they are big on the nutrition thing, So that may be the next thing to try.

Above all else, work hard on that relationship, try to refocus on your job, it is hard to find a new one today. stormfan emoticon
