It's going to take a lifetime commitment!

Five years ago I had weight loss surgery and I lost 124 pounds. That's amazing to me even now! I maintained my weight loss until about a year and a half ago. Slowly 21 pounds have crept back and although I would love to blame it on some medication I was prescribed (one of the possible side effects is weight gain) or the fact that I'm turning 50 this year, I know that peri menopause or medication are only partly responsible. The issue that is 80% responsible is ME!! I've allowed old habits back ...

The issue that is 80% responsible is ME!! I've allowed old habits back in my life. So I asked myself if I really want to go down that road again. I was one of the most miserable fat people you could imagine. I decided to get my butt back to the tools that helped me become the success story I was because I know it (Sparkpeople) works. So here I am, ready to turn it all around. I'm giving myself a whole year to take these extra pounds back off and get to my goal weight because I would rather take it slow and incorporate these changes to my lifestyle forever.

My Goals:
I have to get back down to my goal weight of 150 pounds. Can I tell you how easy it was to let those 21 pounds creep back on? That's the scary part!

My Program:
I believe if you focus on putting healthy foods in your body and get regular exercise you can have the occasional treat. It's when day after day turns into "treat day" I see TROUBLE. I have to work on those treat days, I need to be able to just say "NO"~!!!
