Popcorn Carla

After losing 50 lbs and 6 sizes over the course of the last 2 years I struggle more now I think than when I was heavy. Had always been heavy since a small child so that was the only life I knew. Now I struggle to keep the weight off, struggle to lose more, struggle to accept myself.

Thank you so much for your comment on my SparkPage! You are right. We are very similar. We just have to keep moving along. If we stop moving the weight will come back. At least if we are staying the same we aren't gaining...right? I have been within a 2 lb mark for about a month right now but I haven't gained and I had a small surgery almost a month ago that required no working out for 2 weeks. I was just amazed not to gain during that time. :) ... Let's all support each other and this journey will not seem so difficult!

Hey, Carla, I just read your comment on my blog about patience. I just wrote another one a few minutes ago about walkin' the fine line between perfection and bingeing. As for your feeling yukky cuz you're stuck above goal - dang, woman, I hardly know what to say! I don't want to discount your struggle - never! - even though I have wondered how I will handle it when my weight loss slows 'way down (it is slower now but I have been struggling with eating, so that is why, I think). It's just that I nearly got to goal at least three times in my life and then rebounded up-up-up each time! Long ago I read about a Weight Watchers leader who said: "I'd rather struggle thin than struggle fat." You are in a size ten! I am wearing size 12 jeans and I am amazed and delighted. I was in 2X! But I do NOT want to stay here cuz I am still significantly overweight. Do you feel like you are still significantly overweight? I know I have attitude struggles ... I read blogs by folks who have lost over 100 pounds and then my attitude dissolves cuz my perspective changes. So maybe what I can say to you is find a way to appreciate and be grateful for where you are, cherish and embrace it for a while, push yourself up against someone else's perspective and see if it doesn't make yours shift. Just a suggestion, cuz yukky isn't a mood I'd want to stay in! I hope you break through the ceiling!!!
