Tired of Low Self-esteem and Lack of Confidence

Okay, so I'm fat. I've realized that. I've realized it seriously. I used to be in awesome shape, and then after high school I put on weight and kept it. My schools 5 year reunion just happened, and I missed it because I didn't want anyone to see me since I blew up 65lbs. I am embarrassed by this and genuinely want to lose this weight. I have so many goals I want to accomplish, but I can't do it without the weightloss.

My goal is to get down to 160lb, run 3 miles in under 28 min, ...

My goal is to get down to 160lb, run 3 miles in under 28 min, and do 70 sit ups in 2 mins. My original reason for doing this was to join the USMC, but recently I've been on the fence regarding it. So, for now, I'll leave it as an extreme interest, but pursue my health for the need of being healthy.

I'm trying to lose weight, and am looking for friends who might want a buddy to keep them motivated. I try to motivate others, even if I can't seem to motivate myself.

I do have a lot going on, but I realize that I still gotta be on top of myself and lose this weight.

I may not inspire you, but I will try my best so we can lose this burden together!

My Goals:
1. To fit back into my prom dress from high school.

2. To not be embarrased when I go swimming

3. To feel better

4. To give up my addiction to Pop (soda)

5. To LOVE water

6. To run 1 mile under 10 minutes

My Program:
Technically, I call it, My Way to The Points!
1. Stop drinking pop (or for you non-ohioans, soda)

2. Work out at least 10 minutes a day, even if it is just stretching your body, or doing situps while watching your favorite episode of Ghost Hunters

3. Eat breakfast

4. Eat a salad or a serving of veggies a day, at least a plate

5. Substitute a craving of pop (soda) with a tall glass of water

Hey guys, just some personal info, my name is barbara, I live in columbus ohio (or O-Hi-A, however you say it is nice) I recently earned an associates degree in accounting and I currently live in an apartment, and actually own a ab-lounge. (Don't buy) I strive to acheive some sort of fitness goal, but keep yoyo-ing.

Not sure if you're still interested in the USMC, but if you are, I'm a (fem.) veteran of the Corps, so if you have any questions -- send them my way. (As a side note, they're now requiring pull-ups for females -- though I'm not sure how the recruiters are approaching that. It's not that big of a deal, but it's worth noting.) The military isn't for everyone, but I'm glad I went in, and if you want help (or have questions) just let me know. Take care!
