Hello! Seems we have a lot in common. 'Bout a year and a bit ago I did a semester abroad in Australia -- Monash Uni in Melbourne. Luckily, I didn't get into the Tim Tams, but I definitely got into everything else there! I went to Cairns/Port Douglas, but there were tropical storms/cyclones while we were there, so no scuba. What a bummer! Nor did I get to see the outback, but I did see lots of koalas, 'roos, and even saw some uni mates eating their roo steaks, though I never tried myself. What a great country! And surprisingly diverse, with lots of students from India, the Middle East and Japan.

Ooh we have more in common than I thought! When I started SP last yr (like you) I used to eat less than what I was supposed to as well (around 850cals a day)..cause I thought.. well, I'm short so I'd need WAY less. But yeah, that was that week I burnt myself out.. I couldn't keep starving for the rest of my life! This is a lifestyle change, not some temporary thing :) So now I don't want to be obsessed with calories either..I'm sticking around 1100-1300cals a day, I'm much happier with more energy lol surprise surprise!

That sucks about you losing the 5 pounds then gaining 3 back :( It's not easy letting go of a bingeing habit. It's soo easy for me to forget what I'm putting into my mouth and it happens especially when I'm bored home alone watching TV or reading. I'd just run back and forth to the fridge, and it's weird.. like, I know I'm getting food but it's not registering in my mind that I'm not hungry at all, or that I don't need to eat, or that I'm WAY too full to stuff more things into my stomach. You know what I mean?

Ohhh you're going to Melbourne in April?? I'm from Gladstone, a wee little town so you probably haven't heard of it. But my friends & I are going on a holiday to Melbourne in late March! We'll swap stories lol.
