Keeping It Healthy for "Peanut" and Harley...
So 2013 is the year I ran the Pittsburgh Marathon as part of a relay team!!! :-) Hopefully, if all goes well with "Peanut"/AKA Baby Z, next year will be the year I run the Pittsburgh Half Marathon! I made a lot of progress toward my goals in 2012, but I'm determined to stay on track this year and keep up the hard work. My goal this year was to log 400 miles of running... Then Peanut came along, and we do a lot more walking... I don't want to adjust my goal... ...
We'll see if we can do it, even if we get there more slowly. January = 32.3 miles (14 runs) February = 35.4 miles (11 runs) March = 28.74 (9 walks) April = 21.61 (8 walks) Total = 118.05 miles (42 runs/walks) I continue to deal with some personal health issues, but I am getting through everything with the Lord above, my PHENOMENAL mother, loving (but frustrating) husband, and my AMAZING fur baby. I became committed to being a better partner and teammate for Harley. It just wasn't fair to ask him to be an elite athlete if I wasn't going to take better care of myself... So salads, meats, and healthy snacks are the norm for the majority of my days. :-) Not a bad thing... I promise there can be enough variety in those choices to leave you satisfied!! *********************************** "There are no shortcuts to any place worth going!" ************************************ I AM A PROUD MEMBER OF THE STEELER NATION!!!!! ************************************** I'm a 33 year old female from Southwestern PA. I am a retired librarian and now work part time on special projects for Consol Energy. At one point, I wore a size 24 and tipped the scales at nearly 290 pounds. I lost weight and was close to my goal at a lowest weight of 137. I've let way too many pounds creep back on since I got married in 2006. I'm not going to make excuses. I can use the effort I would waste on that to get healthy for life!

My Goals:
My goals seem to be very fluid and keep changing, but I know I need to continue to eat healthy, exercise, and lose weight so my back and body feel GREAT! I'm also going to continue to use my BodyBugg to monitor myself and make sure I'm on the right path and making the right choices for my overall good health!
My Program:
Some agility practice with Harley, a little more playing with the dogs, and lots of time running!!! Finally, I LOVE challenging myself on xbox Kinect... I can totally feel the burn on the fitness games...
Other Information:
I love my Steelers, my dogs, and reading... I've gotten really into dystopian fiction lately. I'm also an avid reader of James Patterson and Sandra Brown... It is hard to find a book I don't enjoy some part of... :-D
