Back on the wagon again!

I am FINALLY ready to do something about my health. I have 2 grandson's and another (?) on the way. I want to be able to enjoy them for a long time.
I am currently working with a Nutritionist on an Exchange Diet similar to a diabetic diet. My husband, who is diabetic, is on it with me. Hopefully, we both will learn to eat healthy!

My Goals:
My goals are to become healthier in mind, body and spirit.
I want to wear normal size clothes where I can shop anywhere.
I want to get off my BP meds.
I want to be able to sit comfortably in restaurant booths and in airplane seats.

My Program:
Food Exchange Program similar to a Diabetic Diet.

Walking is my only exercise right now. I will work up to other things but want to take everything one at a time.

II am a 50ish, overweight, family loving, people loving person from Gwinnett County GA. I am originally from Ouachita Parish La.
I just left a job of 34 years to start a new chapter in my life. I have 2 grown daughters and 2 grandsons, 23 mos & 6.

Other Information:
I love reading and scrapbooking.

I am so glad you posted and told us of your struggles with the lack of energy and motivation. I have been there so I can relate so perhaps some of the things I did can help you.
I do a daily gratitude statement: such as I am happily married today. or perhaps I am rejoicing because of sunshine this morning.
these little things have changed how I looked at things.
Next I would walk a circle through the house, at least six times around, then had a cup of coffee rejoicing that I moved.
Little steps are all that is needed so perhaps it is doing one load of laundry and folding them. Have clothes baskets for each member of the family so they can put their clothes away. all you will have to do is wash and fold. let me know if this helps. hugs
