Getting to Know Me

I am a widow of a few years, have been overweight most of my life. I have been on several weight loss programs for a few weeks, which I used as a social outing but not followed the programs. Dieting is not new to me, following a program for health reasons is.

Currently, I go to the local YMCA and workout 3 times a week.

I watch my sodium/salt intake closely and will continue to do so.



Personal Information:
I was born in Oklahoma. At the age of 14 I moved to California and lived in the Monterey/Napa area for many years. Returned to Oklahoma about 20 years ago. I worked in the construction industry for many years and then decided to go to nursing school. I continue to work as a registered nurse for a local home health agency.

Other Information:
I use an e reader when I bike at the YMCA. Currently, reading the William Johnstone western stories.

I've haven't been logging in to Sparks for the past 2 weeks. I lost 1 pound in the last 2 weeks. It's been challenging to stay on track. I hope your doing Ok and thanks so much for checking in. I always appreciate your words of encouragement. Take care ! emoticon

Yes, I am loving my water aerobics class. It's pretty brutal but reminds me of how far I've come. I wouldn't have been able to do this a year ago. I'm thankful for my strength training classes too, as they are coming in handy for the class too. This instructor really works our arms to the point of burn and beyond.

What are you doing for your fitness minutes?

Hi ~ just got your friend add. It always touches me when I get one out of no where! How'd you find me ~ just curious! I love Spark ~ it has helped me to lose 60 pounds in about 14 months ~ slow, but not bad for 55 years old, right? I hope you find the support and motivation for a successful, healthy way of life.
