Hey girl, where have you been?... I hope all is well with you and your family. I am still here, still trying to lose the weight I "regained' over the holidays (Thanksgiving/Christmas)... so far I am doing ok, just not coming off as fast as I would like it to!

... anyway, stop by when you get a chance and catch me up with what you have been doing, what program you are following, etc.

Ooh, let me know if you hoop around the block. We have a block with a hill on it too, but we chickened out and took the easy, flat route. It's our first time... Bawk, bawk.

I saw your comment on the Veg group as to why you became veg'n. My first thought -- she feels she's depriving herself of foods she loves. It's not going to last if she does that and then she'll feel even worse when she can't keep it up.

Just a suggestion? Perhaps you don't need to be all or nothing. Maybe you could go veg several days a week and enjoy your meats and cheeses the other days. There are loads of people on SP who aren't veg at all and still have very healthful nutrition.

Another suggestion -- buy the "Happy Herbivore" cookbook. The cheater pad thai is sinfully delicious and prepares in a few minutes. I could practically live off the tortilla soup. If you find some veg foods you love, you'll miss the cheese and all a little less. By the way, she also has mock macaroni and cheese. Maybe you'll like it!

Whatever you do, though, this is for life. If you're feeling deprived and missing meats and cheese, you will not be able to do it forever, i expect. Most couldn't.

We're in this together, and we can do it.
