Challenges keep me motivated and I am thrilled to have spent such a successful winter challenge with all my four-legged, floppy-eared puppy pals on the Spirited Underdogs team. I am extremely excited about the spring challenge and attaining my 5% goal again. This is the one that's going to take me oh so close to Onederland!!! This is my year!!!

On the intake side of things, I am following the SP food guide but tweaking it to include only foods with high anti-oxidant values and anti-inflammatory properties. I guess you could call it an anti-arthritis diet.

I stayed the same (but barely) this week, so I've double-downed now and plan to be working much harder from here on out!! Thank you, my sweet friend, for the Sparkaversary wishes. I'm actually kind of embarrassed that everybody knows I've been a member for 8 years. Wow...!! The first 4 or 5 I wasn't active at all...on again, off again, etc. But now I seem to be here and probably will be forever. I jsut came to your page to give you a pat on the back...stayed the same? So what. That's good, too, as it's not going the wrong way. But, when I came, I also found your note to me...lol! Yes, I am loving the virtual hiking, although I don't make much progress. I'm almost at 30 miles in now. According to some of the photos they put in the program, I'm glad it is a virtual walk and not the real thing. I think you'd have to be a mountain goat to navigate some parts of the path. Anyway, it's all good and these steps do add up. Thanks for your note and encouragement, Carol. I hope this week is less busy for you at work and that you'll have a little time to yourself. Monday I go to see Mom and take her to the dr. That will be a challenge...it usually is. Have a great rest of the weekend! And, remember...chase those other Dawgs away...you can count it as exercise. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
