Gettin healthy
Hi! I am recommitting myself to SP. I joined a few years ago & did really well. Then...life happened. I lost my job of 15 years due to downsizing. Then I got a great job...and they're talking about lay-offs! Seriously. I'm not kidding. SO, I might lose this job, too. Add to that, a break-up with someone who I thought was Mr. Right. Life can sure throw you a curve ball sometimes. But, on the bright side, I don't have to share the remote control anymore! I gained back ...
I gained back much of the weight I lost. Then, during a check up for something totally unrelated, my doctor said my blood sugar levels came back "slightly elevated." Now, if I was 90, he said he wouldn't have worried much about it. But, I'm only 35, so he was concerned. He gave me a few months, told me to exercise and start eating better. I did. My levels came back down to normal. Then, I got lazy. I have another blood test in August, so I hope to be 10 lbs lighter and not have to worry about my blood sugar levels anymore. Diabetes is the ONE disease I don't want to have. My grandma struggled with it for many years, and I don't want to live like that. I need to realize that I'm not getting any younger, and I want to live a long, HEALTHY life. I gotta live long enough to meet Mr. Right, right? LOL
