I did discover that working out, especially getting outside and walking or hiking, makes a huge difference in my motivation and enegy level. Even though I technically lose the time I spend working out, I am much more productive as a whole when I do. And I need it! Now the problem is sticking to the good behaviors. Even though I technically lose the time I spend working out, I am much more productive as a whole when I do. And I need it! Now the problem is sticking to the good behaviors. Although I have periods of a month or two of great habits, I tend to fall off the wagon and gain back more than I lost (although, I more often plateau than lose when I'm being good). So, focusing on keeping the momentum!
