Sure, birthdays can be arbitrary, but I'm looking for a milestone deadline that will provide focus for the work I'm trying to do. I have made some great strides since starting with sparkpeople years ago, but my goals have evolved at a faster rate than I have and I still reach for stars that I can hardly make out the shape of.

I now know that I can imagine what the star looks like and that propels me closer to it, but am at a stage where, upon getting close enough to the star to actually see it, I am astounded by the differences in the way it looks versus my imagination, and frightened by what this new understanding means for what I must change at this point in the journey to make it to the star.

Before my 28th birthday (Jan. 28th), it is my mission to reach new levels of physical, spiritual, and mental health that will help me withstand the wear and tear of life struggles. That means, concretely:
1. I will exercise and eat well so that I can complete physical work for my business more comfortably.
2. I will be more kind to myself and choose to love myself and take pride in achievements rather than tear myself apart.
3. I will not give negativity a space to reside with me.
4. I will work so hard that I will leave no doubt in my mind that I did my very best, and that is what I can be proud of.

Old Inro- I keep it to know where I was a couple of years ago...
I realized how unhappy I was with my health, fitness, and body and I needed a lot of changes to happen in my life. I couldn't imagine how I could work out what I want to do for a career or where I wanted to live or who I needed in my life without first re-training me to take care of myself again. College was rough for me. I worked too hard and was very stressed about the financial situation it was putting me in. I made a commitment to regain the focus on personal health and happiness that I had when I was 17. I am now 25 and live in Denver, CO. I have honored that commitment. I have been on Spark for over a year now and I have lost 25 pounds with the help of the food and fitness trackers and the inspiration from the Spark community. I am feeling better and better all of the time. Now that I'm at my goal weight, I'm trying to come up with new goals to focus on while attempting to find the new balance that I need to keep to maintain my weight. I'm so much stronger now and it seems silly that a number on a scale could even come close to quantifying the work I have done, but gosh it is just fun to see, isn't it?

Be honest. Be reliable. Be courageous. Be certain. Be able to recognize when I need help and how to get it.

Running 3-5x/week.

Stretching and strengthening 30 min/day.

Soccer 2x a week.
