In a desperate attempt to save my life, I had Lap-Band surgery in June '07. Anyone who thinks or tells you that surgery is a quick fix or the "easy way out" is sorely mistaken! There has been nothing quick or easy about my journey, in fact mentally speaking, it's been incredibly difficult as I am still mourning the loss of my emotional rescuer...FOOD. In a desperate attempt to save my life, I had Lap-Band surgery in June '07. Anyone who thinks or tells you that surgery is a quick fix or the "easy way out" is sorely mistaken! There has been nothing quick or easy about my journey, in fact mentally speaking, it's been incredibly difficult as I am still mourning the loss of my emotional rescuer...FOOD. After three years of trying to lose weight with the help of the lap-band I find myself gaining back some of the weight I had lost. At one point I was down 110 lbs. and only one pound away from finally being below 200 lbs. In June of 2010 my stomach slipped. The fluid was removed from my band, the end result being a 49 lb. weight gain. I am so frustrated. I am hoping that this community will help me get back on track. My Goals:
My goal is to get to a weight that is healthy and comfortable for me. I used to have a number, but now it's more like a feeling I want to achieve and preserve for the rest of my life. I want to get published. I want to own a second-hand home decor store. I want to create art that everyone loves.
My Program:
I am starting over. I have moved and just found a new gym, so I am starting a new program. Initial goal, 30 minutes of cardio 5 days a week combined with 3 days a week of strength training and 6 days of stretching/yoga.
Personal Information:
I love family, art, crafts, writing, reading, photography, cooking, poker and sports.
