    Thanks for the encouragement Carol I don't have half the problems that you do, it's nice to hear that this is working for you. I think my biggest challenge is finding time for exercise so I have started incorporating the 10 minute program and it seems to be working. Keep up the good work you inspire me. emoticon

    emoticon emoticon emoticon Just ran across an article where you said you can use some help. I am a "senior" Sparker and this is the first time in about 60 years that I have finally found a program that works. When I started almost 18 months ago I had a bad knee after surgery a few years earlier and my hip hurt whenever I walked anywhere, probably from arthritis.
    If I tried to walk 5 minutes, I came back to the house crying,"I just can't do it". Between SP articles and the encouragement of my husband, I kept at it and felt successful with a 10 minute walk. I felt encouraged when the weight started coming off and I gradually worked up to a 30 minute walk and can now do more. On bad days, I learned to ride the stationary recumbent bike. Before this, I had to use the little elevator our kids installed for our 2nd floor dwelling. Now I am proud to say I use the steps all the time.
    I see you belong to the 10 minute club. I hope you are taking an active part in it. Get on the message boards to talk with others and read as much as you can. Spark People has so much to offer.
