Eat to Live!

I'm a 32 year old single mom of a 12 year old daughter. After several relationships that just didn't work out, I don't date and don't get out much because I never learned to drive. I'm a 32 year old single mom of a 12 year old daughter. After several relationships that just didn't work out, I don't date and don't get out much because I never learned to drive. Other than activiities that involve my child, I pretty much go to work and come home. Out of lonliness, food has become a good friend. Last year, I was up to 193 lbs and I knew I had to change. Since December, I've lost 14 lbs by being more conscious of my eating habits. However, I was still doing a lot of pigging out and very little exercise. Thanks to Sparkpeople, I can clearly see the nutritional value of my eating. I've also added exercise and am greatly motivated by being able to see just how many calories I've burned. I'm committed to eating to live for life instead of living to eat.

My Program:
I get up in the early a.m. for an hour-long walk at least (3) times a week. The other days, I do strength training and abdominal exercises. I keep my calories low and my diet healthy through a variety of efforts, including fasting.
