A New Life

I started again Friday, August 13, 2010 and this time I'm doing it first and foremost for myself!

MY INITIAL -
I've decided today, November 19, 2009, is the first day of the rest of my life! I am way over weight. I'm not looking to be super skinny, just healthy. I look forward to the day when I can play with my 3 lovely children for hours on end without becoming completely wiped out!

From now on, my life is mine -

Long Term ~ My goal is to reach my pre-baby weight from 9 years ago before Mother's Day 2011. (166)

SW - 227.5 (The weight I was when I decided I NEED to do this for me!)

Short Term ~ lose 17.5 (210.0)
by Ryan's 5th birthday (I'll be the weight I was when I found out I was pregnant with him.) MET - 10/21/10 (3 weeks late but this one is done!)

lose 25 lbs. (202.5) by Thanksgiving
lose 37 lbs. (190.5) by Christmas
lose47 lbs. (180.5) by Valentine's Day
lose 57.5 lbs. (170.0) by March 25th
lose 67.5 lbs. (160) by Mother's Day


Adjusted dates on 10/22 goal to reach 160 by Mother's Day.



My Program:
I am becoming more mindful of the foods I am putting in my body and getting off the couch a little more. I will gradually increase my activity so I don't become overwhelmed with too many changes at once.

Personal Information:
I am a woman, wife, mother, friend, daughter, and sister. A couple of days ago, woman would not have been on the list as I was no where on my priority list. That has all changed and now, I am just as important as everyone else in my life!

Other Information:
I hope to start enjoying a wider selection of vegetables.

Looks like you had another great week!
I was glad for my 5 pounds, but last week I lost nothing so I guess it evens out. Congratulations on your progress too. Are you buying new clothes yet? :-)

I really liked what you had to say about chocolate milk! :-)

I grew up on it and was never overweight. My parent's made sure that we got activity and we sought it out as youngsters.

And actually, I whip skim milk with low sugar Hershey's syrup almost every night. It becomes almost like a whipped topping. Very filling with all the air and it gives me chocolate and dessert at lower calories.
