Finding my true self

Some people have asked where I'm located, which is in the Lower Mainland of BC, Canada... land of endless rain and darkness.

Why am I here, I don't rightly know. Even for an internet addict, I still don't like tracking my whole life on a website. I'm quitting the nutrition tracker (the most tedious aspect) because I feel it's helped me just enough and without the exercise half I've been maintaining this weight for several years without going crazy and binging so I think I'm ok. ...

In fact I probably won't track anything and just go with my gut.

I don't even own a scale anyway.

My Goals:
* to lose weight, obviously. I don't care how much.

* to have more activity in my life.

* to feel good about myself.

My Program:
* DDR when the lady downstairs has her music loud.

* Take the bike out every day or every other day when the weather permits.

* If I get a new job: take those spinning classes with Safron,
buy that zumba game for the wii
go swimming regularly

* weekend dance routines with Lindsay
(hopefully)

* check for free videos online and do them during all that time I have at home alone

* do the cooking more often.

Personal Information:
I'm in my twenties, I have a stupid amount of hobbies and endless time to do them.

I finished a pastry arts program and I'm struggling to find a place in the field due to the fact that I have no driver's license. :(

In the meantime, I'm tired of seeing photos of myself looking so "swollen" and just basically not being who I feel I am inside.

Other Information:
I used to do a lot of strenuous native dance in high school but had to quit when I moved into an apartment and people complained about noise. I can no longer do more than one song without being winded. This is a huge regret of mine.

Hello! I used to hate exercising too. Then I tried to do some weight training, which I really like a lot now cos I see results real fast, like 2 months of doing it. The key is just stick to your workout and be patient. I don't find it as "boring" as running, swimming or other cardio (though I'm starting to like running since I started the Couch to 5K training 2 weeks ago). I can see that you love dancing. That's a good start! I like dancing too and I do Zumba once a week. There are so many ways to be active and all you have to do is find something you enjoy doing. I think you should make yourself a workout plan and stick to it. emoticon

I really do hope that you find a workout you like.

I read your comments about hating exercise. I saw that many people told you to go out walking or riding your bike if you can't afford a gym. I get the feeling that they failed to read your entire post OR don't understand panic attacks and anxiety. I don't leave the house alone for the most part and running around my living room would get bored quickly. I see that you do go to work, however. I can't do that. I have to work from home. I understand the challenges you are facing.

I used to love dancing, but don't get out much. When I can afford the Kinect, I will be getting Dance Central for it.

I also have the same issues with protein - but I'm a vegetarian, so am even more limited. At any rate, nice to meet you. If you need a spark buddy, let me know.

Hi there I too came along your post about protein, chicken breast is a really great way to go to get protien one 6 oz chicken breast will get you most of the way there for a day and it's only 187 calories. Have a great weekend!

Hey there - came across one of your posts in a thread. Yogurt is a good source of protein. If you get light or low-fat yogurt it's only aout 80-100 calories, you get some protein, some carbs, and some calcium. Take care - happy Sparking!
