My Health, My Family

Hi! My name is Patrick.

For two years I have worked toward getting healthier with numerous challenges along the way.

I used to weigh over 300 lbs....or so I think I did. The most I ever weighed when looking at a scale was 295 lbs. but I know for certain I had continued to gain. I never went on the scale again until I started losing weight. I never wanted to see the real number.

For two years I have worked toward getting healthier with numerous challenges along the way.

I used to weigh over 300 lbs....or so I think I did. The most I ever weighed when looking at a scale was 295 lbs. but I know for certain I had continued to gain. I never went on the scale again until I started losing weight. I never wanted to see the real number.

Two years ago I was about 280 lbs. and I started losing weight through exercise and eating right.

Then I quit smoking. Then I gained weight again.

Then I started working out and got all the way down to 229 lbs! That was the first time in 12 years I weighed 220-anything.

Then all the stresses that come with a wedding, plus being so far from my family, my habits got bad again.

Here I am now, at 262.2 lbs., feeling sluggish and disappointed.

The journey begins again. it is a marathon, not a sprint. 30+ years of bad habits cannot be changed overnight.

I understand these things take time...now I am taking the time to do them.
