    PJANTANA, let me tell you, my husband could run a 1/2 marathon without training. He was definately blessed with that cardiovascular gene. I, unfortunately wasn't. He doesn't believe in the walk/run thing. He believes you pick a distance (started at 1 mile) and run the entire way. If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't have done my 3 5k's. The last one I told him to go and do it for him, boy, I struggled without him next to me. The urge to walk really kicked in, but I didn't. It's hard, but consistency pays off.
    PS, I'm in FL also and the heat makes it even harder. Thanks to your works of encouragement, I ran 2 miles tonight.
