I actually started with the Coach to 5K program and worked up to running a few 8Ks. A Half marathon is on my bucket list, but I was so afraid that I would overheat/get fatigued with my MS. So I figured that the run/walk/run method might work for me.
I LOVE it! I HIGHLY recommend it to you! I have a GymBoss interval timer to make things easy. I'm running at a 4 min run/ 1 min walk ratio, but a beginner would start at maybe 30 seconds running/ 2 minutes walking. You get the idea.
i'm glad you enjoyed the blog. i find venting through writing them helps keep my sanity through some tough times! the bathing suit experience is traumatic for everyone, i think. i much prefer the winter coat experience :) thanks again!
