A trip to the hospital proved something to me: there's a big difference between "thin" and "healthy." I am technically about 20 pounds overweight (according to the "ideal" weight range for my height) but my overall health is really good! My pants size may not be where I'd prefer it, but my blood pressure is enviable, my sugar and cholesterol are both healthy, and I am CAPABLE. I am capable of kickboxing for an hour. I am capable of running a 5K. I am capable of learning new kata for martial arts. I am capable of walking for two hours at a time. I am capable of playing tennis. My forties did not start as I'd hoped, but that doesn't mean "roll over and quit." My fitness goals, my business goals, and my personal goals are taking shape, but I understand that shape can shift. Be healthy. Be happy. And lean not on your own understanding.
