Strategically taken to convince myself that I "carry the extra weight well."

The dreaded side view... not so strategic...not so convincing

Starting out, again.
I'm a repeat offender, losing weight a few times, but it has been several years since I was able to lose more than 10 pounds and keep it off for any length of time. This time is totally different. I have been making healthy choices rather than "dieting."

My Goals:
Currently my goals include: Track food every day, Cook more meals at home, Get my body moving in some way every day, drink more water and drink less Diet Mt Dew. 6 week update: I have broken the Diet Mt Dew habit. I occasionally enjoy one, once a week or less. 5 month update: I am a water drinking machine! I do great at that! I haven't missed a day of tracking since I started up in March and I have been cooking at home much more. I do have a workout routine, but it isn't EVERYday, typically 4-5 times a week.
My Program:
My program is to track food, track exercise and celebrate healthy choices. I will not exclude foods or groups because they are "off-limits" I will chose to eat foods in moderation. Telling myself "you can't have that" does NOT work.
Personal Information:
I live in MN, we went from winter to summer very early! Spring and summer clothes are moving to the closet. I want fit into mine again. I refuse to buy any clothes in a bigger size. Update: With the loss of 15# (YAY!) all of my summer clothes fit and a few are a bit too big. They fit better than they did last summer! July update: I have almost an entirely new summer wardrobe. Many of my older clothes make me look frumpy. I won't be getting a new wardrobe every season and every size, but I have been acquiring pieces along the way. Helps me feel pretty.
Other Information:
I love to knit, too bad that isn't very active. Maybe if I knit really fast it would count as cardio? It does keep me from snacking though.
