I have been fat (there, I said it) ever since at least 4th grade. I never really became aware of it until high school though. The lowest weight I can ever remember being is around 180. I had very few boyfriends, the whole nine yards. I started Sparking on Memorial Day weekend. I'm still not sure what the exact motivation was, beyond being tired of not being able to walk into any store I wanted to and buy clothes. I just knew I needed to make a change. This is literally the first time I have ever tried to lose weight. The day I weighed in, I was at 246. At my heaviest I was 256..the only reason I know is that the day I started and stepped on my WiiFit it told me I had lost ten pounds! It still scares me to think about it.

So for the basics..I'm 38 and have a 9 yr old daughter. I've been divorced for six yrs, and though it was one of the hardest things I've done, the sense of relief the day Piper and I walked out the door was absolutely overwhelming. Piper has Cystic Fibrosis, and was diagnosed at 4 months. Last year she spent more than 16 weeks in the hospital on IVs, just about every other month. She was also on homebound schooling for the entire school year. Because of her CF, I've made the choice to stay at home with her. I do some very part-time work at home to help with finances, but we're still on a pretty tight budget. In spite of the CF Piper tends to be near the 90% for weight, so right now we're doing this together as a family.

My Goals:
My goal is to reach 146. This would mean losing about 100 lbs..33 down, 64 to go!

My Program:
I'm tracking all my food and exercising 6 days most weeks. Walking about 20 miles per week in a normal week, and working on the WiiFit and swimming.
